The Bat and Ball is of course named after the game of cricket that was first played in Hambledon, Hampshire. It is a very intriguing game that is played around the world in countries that have close ties to the British Empire or Commonwealth of Nations.
Located in an up and coming trendy area this pub is located in an old brick building at the intersection of Ashford-Dunwoody Road and Johnson Ferry next to the old movie theatre. We are just south of Blackburn Park that was the barracks during World War I and II for the army who used it as the take off point from there to Chamblee Airport (now known as Peachtree Dekalb Airport) and then on to Europe. The Pub offers both traditional English foods and classic American favourites that are already recognized across our other Pubs by many loyal customers. Enjoy a pint and a sandwich on the patio or some lively conversation at the bar! We believe in 'snugness not smugness' and want you to feel that this is part of your neighbourhood and after all we all need our 'local'! |
