Welcome to O’Brian’s Tavern here in Dunwoody, GA. The Pub is named after Brian Thomas, my Father and Mentor, who died in May 2011. It should be called ‘Oh Brian!’ as that was what my Mum always said. He was a very proud Welshman, proud of his Rugby Team and so we have incorporated the Welsh Flag in our logo.
The Tavern has an upscale London Pub feel and has brought together all that is British with the Tartan bar and table tops, Welsh Flag, British Food and the name.
The two patios offer Al Fresco dining with the patio in the back covered, this one also allows smoking. Our staff is available to help with your event needs – when you need a spot for a corporate get-together or a family reunion, our restaurant is available for private parties for groups up to 100.
A pub is a state of mind, and that alone sets it apart from any other drinking or eating establishment. It is a place where relaxation, stimulation, and conversation are the order of the day. In their “local,” as the English refer to them, a sense of being “at home” is very much in evidence, and it is the publican’s job to ensure the maintenance of that atmosphere.
Informality is rampant and many a stout Welshman has fallen to the lure of his local, most notably when walking his dog. The urge to “dive in for a swift pint” has challenged and defeated the hardiest of souls.
Nikolas Pevsner said, “The function of the pub is company, human nearness, ... snugness not smugness.”
Cheers, and Thank you for your support.........
Huw and the Crew!
