The Penny Farthing Tavern is located in beautiful Steinbeck Country east of Monterey Bay, in a the town of Salinas. The Salinas Valley is known as 'The Salad Bowl of The World' supplying the world with fresh produce and world class wines.
We benefit from our location in the valley and focus on fresh on our menu. The pub has been an institution in Salinas for 25 years and is part of the fabric of Salinas. The Dunwoody Restaurant Group purchased it in 2008. The interior is very authentic with low ceilings in the bar area opening up into vaulted ceilings in the restaurant with a fireplace and a warm cozy feel. We feature all local wines that rotate regularly and also feature local beers. The Royal Room and Windsor Room which can handle parties up to 75 people with both Appetizer and Full Menu offerings from our kitchen.
We have a great area dedicated to darts and have a regular crowd of locals that love to play and welcome new players all the time. So why not come by and challenge them and enjoy a pint with them. The pub is also equipped with five flat screen TVs and one huge projection TV in the Windsor Room that is great for sporting events and business meetings.
